Map of Hanoi in Russian with markets. Map of Hanoi in Russian

Hanoi is a very noisy city, very loud, very colorful and in some places very dirty. This is its charm, and this is also its ugliness. Therefore, few people stay there for a long time: a couple of days, and the tourist runs away from this buzzing anthill. But the undoubted advantage of Hanoi is that almost all of its attractions are located in the city center and you can get around them in just a couple of days. Therefore, the map of Hanoi with attractions looks very compact)))

The Asian flavor and proximity to Sapa and Ha Long are what attract tourists to Hanoi. But there are not many interesting places there, and to be honest, the sights of Hanoi are not at all what is worth going there for. But if you find yourself in the Vietnamese capital, then you shouldn’t ignore them! Yes, Hanoi is not Bangkok with its magnificent temples headed by, but also not where the only entertainment is to sleep and yawn from melancholy. So don’t miss the opportunity to spend a day or two exploring the interesting places of this city, and our map of Hanoi with attractions will help you in this easy and pleasant task. We went through all of them ourselves and our reviews about them are only the most positive!

Map of Hanoi with attractions

I won’t tell you about all the places that our Map of Hanoi with attractions easily included. For example, what can you tell us about the Museum of the Revolution? You should see it! Although no, it’s not necessary))) It’s better to spend this time on other attractions of Hanoi. Therefore, here I will briefly talk about those that most deserve attention. Or those that at least have something to tell about. Photos are attached.

Hoan Kiem Lake (Lake of the Returned Sword), Turtle Temple and Jade Mountain Temple

It was here, according to legend, that the golden turtle presented the magic sword Thuant Thien to the Vietnamese Emperor Le Loy in the 15th century. Le Loi rebelled against Chinese rule, liberated the country and held a great festival in the middle of the lake. At the height of the celebration, a turtle rose from the bottom, and Le Loy returned the sword to it. This is the story.

The Vietnamese believe (or pretend) that two islands on Hoan Kiem Lake are the body and head of that same turtle. On one of them (the one closer to the center of the lake) the Turtle Temple was built, on the other - the Temple of the Jade Mountain, to which the Bridge of the Rising Sun leads. Entrance to the Jade Mountain Temple costs 30,000 VND.

Lake of the Returned Sword in Hanoi looks very impressive in the evening. Pictured is the Turtle Temple.

Tran Quoc Pagoda

The most beautiful pagoda in Hanoi, in my opinion. It was built on an island in the Western Lake, in the water of which it is beautifully reflected in clear weather. Built in the 6th century, restored 200 years ago.

Map of Hanoi with attractions. Tran Quoc Pagoda is the most beautiful in the city.

One Pillar Pagoda

Built in the 11th century on a 1.25 meter thick wooden pillar in the shape of a lotus flower. Located next to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Ho Chi Minh Museum and the Ho Chi Minh Stilt House. Therefore, the most surprising thing about this Hanoi attraction is that it has nothing to do with the personality of Ho Chi Minh. Although who knows...

One Pillar Pagoda is one of the most famous, but not the most spectacular, attractions in Hanoi.

Tower of Hanoi

The height of the Tower of Hanoi is 33.4 meters (with the flag - 41 meters). Built in 1812. It is considered a symbol of the city.

Map of Hanoi attractions, pictured is the Tower of Hanoi.

Hanoi Cathedral

It is also St. Joseph's Cathedral. Built at the end of the 19th century in neo-Gothic style, reminiscent of a Cathedral Notre Dame of Paris. To some, but not to us.

The only similarity between Hanoi's St. Joseph's Cathedral and Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris is the word "cathedral".

Hanoi Citadel

It was from here that medieval Vietnam was ruled. True, now nothing remains of the buildings that were built here about a thousand years ago. But it’s interesting to stroll through more modern buildings, where you can admire the excavations ancient civilization. The entrance price to the Hanoi Citadel is 50,000 VND.

Many tourists ignore the Hanoi Citadel. We believe that without it, a map of Hanoi with attractions would be incomplete: we really liked it here.

Hanoi Water Puppet Theater

A very interesting and unusual sight. Several times a day on the stage of the theater they give a performance of Vietnamese historical and folklore stories. Due to the fact that the performance takes place on the water, no ropes prevent the audience from observing the “life” of the dolls. During the performance, a local ensemble plays near the stage - and they play very well, by the way. The price of a ticket to the Hanoi Water Puppet Theater is 100 thousand dong.

It seems to me that adults will enjoy the water puppet theater in Hanoi even more than children.

Temple of Literature

The Temple of Literature in Hanoi is the first university in Vietnam. It is a vast area with pagodas, educational facilities, and green areas. It was founded in the 11th century. Entrance to the Temple of Literature costs 20 thousand dong.

A little secret: if you enter the Temple of Literature not through the main entrance, but through the small gate on Ton Duc Thang or Van Mieu streets, then you don’t have to pay for the entrance)

Park named after Lenin

It is notable, perhaps, only for the fact that it is named after the leader of the world proletariat. And also a monument to Ilyich, on which the name Le-Nin is written in the Vietnamese style.

You are on the right path, comrades! - Lenin tells us, whose gaze is fixed precisely on the Tower of Hanoi.

Giant ceramic mosaic

The giant ceramic mosaic in Hanoi stretches along Duong Hong Ha Street for four kilometers. It began to be created in 2007, and craftsmen from different countries.

A giant ceramic mosaic in Hanoi: craftsmen from different countries, including Russia, flocked to create it.

Hanoi is the capital of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The city is the political and cultural center of the country, which is more than 1000 years old.

Hanoi is located in the northern part of Vietnam, one hundred kilometers from where the Hong Ha River flows into Tokyo Bay, at an altitude of 19 meters above sea level. The city stretches along the Hongha River, which is one of the largest rivers in Southeast Asia, for almost 15 kilometers. Perhaps, due to its position, the city got its name, because in translation from Vietnamese “Hanoi” means “a place surrounded by a river.”

The city is divided into 29 districts. The most colorful city area is the “Old Quarter” (or “36 Pho Phuong”), which looks like a web of narrow streets. Since ancient times, this area has been the main trading place of the city. Each street specialized in selling a certain type of product. Subsequently, the names of the goods presented on them were assigned to the streets: Silk, Sugar, Shoe and others.
