Andronik Parfenov died. To tears

Andronik and Valentina

At the beginning of July, the son of Yaroslavl priest Alexander Parfenov died in a terrible traffic accident in the Pskov region. Andronik was driving in a car with his girlfriend - the one he wanted to marry. Both of them did not survive... The collision was too strong. Today Father Alexander published a letter on his VKontakte page. Touching, farewell... We are publishing it in full with the permission of the priest. The editors offer their sincere condolences to the families of the victims.

I ask you to pray for the newly deceased Andronik and Valentin.

I have four sons, old enough, so I can monitor as much as they allow me. I knew that my eldest son’s trip to Izborsk and Pechory took place, because I myself went to these places in my younger years, and I also took him to school. When my son called on my birthday and said that he had reached the Riga seaside, my wife and I could not help but guess that this was a happy opportunity to propose.

I received the last message on Sunday at one o’clock in the afternoon: “We were at a service in the Pechora Monastery and took communion together,” but it was the day of Peter and Fevronia.

On the way home at about six o'clock in the evening in heavy rain, the Nissan Tiana caught the rear wheel of a semi-trailer and the car was carried into the oncoming lane. From a collision with a Ford Transit, Andronik died on the spot, Valentina died in the emergency room.

It hurts to see the last photographs they took at sea. They are happy, they found each other, they lit their fire of love here. However, it especially hurts because they were our people, so unmodern, going to church on their own, and getting closer to each other so touchingly and slowly. They met six months ago at the historical society “Ball in a Russian Estate” and now Valentina has a ring on her hand, she has accepted the main offer of her life.

Where there is justice, there is no love. They were unable to communicate their decision in person. Two angels - that’s what everyone who attended the funeral service called them and sent condolences. I can’t read Valentina’s diary without tears:

“The problem is not that this has been lying in our closets for years, but that we consider it our wealth. But that's not so bad. It’s much worse when we begin to accumulate resentment and irritation, when we replay unpleasant memories in our heads over and over again. But do we really need such wealth? Is it better to collect pleasant memories, warm moments and noble deeds? Maybe it’s not a fat wallet that makes a person rich, but the ability to love and forgive, thank and respect? Of course, you can’t pack it in a box and put it away on the mezzanine, but not because it is not material, but because it will always be with you, in your heart, and you will need it every minute of your life.”

A remarkable place - the tract "Mount of St. Mary" - is located within 40 kilometers from Rostov between the villages of Krasnoramenye and Filimonovo of the Petrovsky settlement.

Native landscape

“In landscape terms, Mount St. Mary is distinguished by a complex morphological structure, in which archaeological sites are interconnected and represent a single holistic education. Due to the fact that Mount St. Mary was not built up after the Middle Ages, here, within the boundaries of the land holdings of the ancient settlement, the historical landscape of the 11th-15th centuries was preserved. This circumstance makes the complex of archaeological monuments (the largest burial mound here is located Yaroslavl region) is rare in its preservation and opens up wide opportunities for scientific study, and then can take a place among the standard monuments of the archeology of Ancient Rus'.”

TV series "Sofia"

I always look critically at films on historical themes, especially ours. Because my ideas about the past differ from those of the filmmakers. However, who gave me the right to judge?

Christ is Risen!

It seems that life has become simpler!
I turned on the light and found my way to the kitchen, connected to the Internet and found the necessary information.
Why do we stumble life path? Why are we looking for what and where went wrong with us?

Ancient ford on the Cape

2016 marks the 800th anniversary of the Battle of Lipitsa, which took place near the city of Yuryev-Polsky (1176). The battle was the result of a major internecine conflict, which involved eight princes from two princely houses and no less than eleven cities - Novgorod, Pskov, Smolensk, Rzhev, Zubtsov, Tver, Ksnyatin, Rostov, Vladimir. Yuryev-Polsky, Pereslavl. This conflict is a clear characteristic of the state of ancient Russian society on the eve of the great tragedy - the Mongol-Tatar invasion in 1237-1240

Primordial Rus'

The year 2015, which is gradually passing, was marked by the celebration of the thousand-year anniversary of the memory of St. Prince Vladimir, the baptizer of Rus'. Church medals for the anniversary were received by the governor of the Yaroslavl region and the mayor of Rostov the Great, clergy involved in the holiday. Erected on the shore of Lake Nero worship cross, and a chapel was built nearby in honor of the blessed Prince Vladimir.

Monastery of St. Mary of Egypt

From the chronicle news of 1216 it is clear how on the Sarah River at the intersection of the routes to Rostov and Pereslavl there is a settlement, and on it St. Mary (St. Marina of other lists). This memorable place was recently rediscovered by archaeologists, but as will be clear from what follows, it has retained its name throughout all eras.

Battle of Lipica

Chronicle mention. Meaning

Mount St. Mary is mentioned in Russian chronicles. This highlights the significance of the holy tract as a stronghold connecting two lines of material heritage - written sources and geographical evidence. Mentions of rural areas in chronicles are extremely rare, and unique for the Rostov land. Therefore, it is necessary to preserve this historical place for posterity, as evidence of the spiritual and material relationship of the sources of knowledge about Russian history and culture.

Mount St. Mary's

Historical reference

One of the historical places of the Rostov land - the Mount of St. Mary tract - is under threat of destruction. There has been a monastery here since ancient times Venerable Mary Egyptian, first mentioned in the chronicle in 1216 and it is also one of the earliest mentions of a rural populated place in Rus'.

Just the other day in the Pskov region Russian Federation a terrible accident happened. The young son of a famous Yaroslavl priest, Andronik Parfenov, died in it. The entire diocese of Yaroslavl expressed its deepest condolences to priest Alexander Parfenov regarding the sudden loss of his firstborn. It is known that the accident occurred just when the guy was returning to his father in Yaroslavl.

In addition to Andronik Parfenov himself, his girlfriend Valentina was in the car at the time of the impact. It is reported that the girl also did not survive due to the violent impact of the car on a multi-ton truck. The investigation team will investigate the circumstances of the accident and those responsible.

At the moment, it is known that a fatal accident occurred on a section of the road in the Novosokolnichesky district of the Pskov region. From there, during his holidays at the university, 24-year-old Andronik Parfenov returned home to Yaroslavl by car with his girlfriend named Valentina. The guy informed his father, the Rev. Alexander Parfenov, about his arrival shortly before. Father Alexander himself confirmed that his son was driving home on a social network shortly before the accident.

Some close to the Parfenov family claimed that Andronik was going to Yaroslavl with impatience, as he wanted to introduce his beloved Valentina to his father. And it is possible to receive a blessing for their relationship and, in the future, a wedding. Many parishioners of the church where Alexander Parfenov serves the Lord knew the guy personally and were also looking forward to his arrival with his girlfriend. That is why the news of Andronik’s tragic death while driving a car touched almost every resident of the city of Yaroslavl and, partially, Pskov, from where the young man was driving home.

Reaction of the church and father to the death of Andronik Parfenov

The Yakovlevsky Church in Yaroslavl, immediately after confirming the information about the accident, offered condolences to the family and friends of Andronik Parfenov regarding the incident. In particular, the church personally brought words of sympathy and support to the father of the deceased young man- priest Alexander Parfenov. Andronik himself was known precisely because of his father’s peacemaking and charitable deeds. Because of this, the news about the death of the priest’s son Alexander hit the front pages of news headlines.

The Yaroslavl diocese was and is very proud of the good fame of Father Alexander, which spread far beyond the Yaroslavl region. That is why at the moment, not only the leadership of the diocese, but also all parishioners who respected the spiritual work of Priest Parfenov are massively mourning the loss of Andronik in a terrible accident and condole with his father. The official date of farewell to the deceased Andronik and his girlfriend Valentina was announced personally by Father Alexander. Farewell to the son of a famous priest will take place on Wednesday, July 18, 2018.

Is Andronik Parfenov guilty of the accident?

At the moment, several key details of the accident in which Andronik Parfenov died are known. Firstly, the car ended up (most likely due to bad weather, turning by accident) in the oncoming lane. A car with young people crashed into a Scania model truck driving opposite, after which the already crippled car was thrown into the final collision for the driver with a Ford passenger car. According to the conclusion of the ambulance paramedics who arrived at the scene of the accident, Andronik died on the spot at the moment of the second impact, and they tried to save his girlfriend Valentina in the hospital, but this also could not be achieved. Doctors reported the girl’s death to journalists after almost a day of fighting for her life.

A criminal case was opened into the tragic accident in the Pskov region of Russia. The investigation is currently reviewing all available evidence, examinations and details of the accident. It is not known to reliably establish who exactly is to blame for the terrible accident with two victims, but in the future the investigation team will have more medical and emergency expertise on the case. The investigators themselves previously stated that they saw in the accident only an accident, without a violation of traffic rules either on the part of the truck or on the part of Andronik driving a Nissan car.

If we believe that Jesus died and rose again, then God will bring with Him those who have died in Jesus(1 Thessalonians 4:14).

I ask you to pray for the newly deceased Andronik and Valentin.

They were buried together, in the sacred Rostov land, in the cemetery of the Varnitsky churchyard. The twentieth day memorial service took place yesterday, Friday, July 27th.

On July 8, 2018, our good friend, a graduate of the Historical and Archival Institute of the Russian State University for the Humanities and just a great guy, Andronik Parfenov, died as a result of an accident.

We express our deepest condolences to Andronik’s family and friends.

From student friends:

He entered the Faculty of Archives in 2012 and from the first days at the Institute of History and Archives became one of the most notable students. Andronik attracted attention with his erudition, good manners, responsiveness, and knowledge of a foreign language (he was the only one who already spoke French fluently in his first year). With these qualities and his successes, he encouraged others to improve.

You could always rely on Andronik. When he was nearby, you knew: “If anything happens, he will not be confused, he will offer something, he will flash something.” This happened in classes, seminars, conferences, and during an internship at the French School of Charters.

No matter what happened, he remained friendly and responsive. You could always turn to him for advice or help.

Without a doubt, he would represent the university, institute and faculty with honor as a professional.

His passing is a great loss.

Bright memory.

From the administration and teaching staff of the IAI FAD RSUH:

On the night of July 8-9, Andronik Parfenov, a master's student at the Institute of History and Archives of the Russian State University for the Humanities, and a researcher at the Archives of the Polytechnic Museum, tragically died. It is impossible to believe that we will no longer see this beautiful and talented Man with a beautiful soul and kind heart, a true patriot of his Fatherland and a wonderful student. We will always remember Andronik as a cheerful, optimistic, extraordinary Person and a true Friend, always ready to help anyone in need. Andronik was distinguished by the best human qualities, including goodwill, responsiveness, and delicacy.

This is how he will remain in our hearts and in our memories.
