Samael does not respond to calls. Samael's Gnosis

Samael(ancient Hebrew “sam” - poison and “el” - god) - the angel of death in the Talmud, Christianity and demonology. The name "Samael" is sometimes seen as the true "angelic" name of the devil.

Samael is the Supreme Spirit of Evil, unborn, uncreated, eternal, Darkness without a single glimmer of light. The caller sees him as bottomless darkness or many iron arrows flying towards him, and sometimes he comes as a short man in a black cloak, looking very threatening. His images are a naked sword covered with dried blood, his qualities are all-destruction, supreme hatred and unholy holiness, therefore, everyone who strictly follows the rules of devil worship is said to be protected by Samael. His Word is the law for demons of any rank and of any nature.

In the book Apocryphon of John the Theologian, which was found in the Nag Hammadi library, Samael is the third name of the demiurge. Other names are Yaldabaoth and Saklas (Sakla). In this context, Samael means "Blind God". In the Nag Hammadi Library's Treatise on the Origin of the World, it is also called Ariael. In the Book of the Magician of Abramelin, Mathers refers to "Uro", which means "to burn" or "to be consumed by flame", comparable to Uriens and the Latin Urios and Urieus, the name of Jupiter as the Spirit presiding over the wind. It is said that the rabbis called him "SMAL", Samael, which literally means "figure" or "idol". This is one of the main spirits of the Qlippoth, it is “Ahriman” Yatukih and the male representation of the Adversary, while Lilith is the female complement.

To anthroposophists, Samael is known as one of the seven archangels: Anael, Gabriel, Michael, Orifiel, Raphael (angel), Samael and Zahariel, who have a special purpose as the global Zeitgeist ("spirit of the times"), each for a period of about 380 years.

Only the most powerful magicians, who are born once in a generation, can summon it. You need to contact him through the skull of an adult man, completely whole and undamaged, placing it on an altar made of black stone in a deep dungeon, depicting the Seal with the blood of a one-year-old lamb on the western side of the altar.

In different sources Samael is:

Samael - chief ruler of the fifth heaven (Judaism)

Samael is a huge twelve-winged serpent, dragging the solar system behind him. (Apocalypse)

Samael - the angel of death who came for Moses (Bible)

Samael is the leader of evil spirits and the angel of death (late rabbinic literature). (Note that the words angel of death here have a clear negative connotation.)

Samael - prince of demons and sorcerer (Book of Enoch)

Samael - guardian angel of Esau and chief of the guard of Eden (Talmud)

Samael - the tempting serpent (Talmud)

Samael is the father of Cain (as a consequence of the previous point)

Samael - angel of darkness (Kabbalist teachings)

Samael is the fifth archangel of the world of Braia, corresponding to the Sephira of Geburah

Samael is one of the names of Satan (Satan is renunciation, and Belial is treachery, there are two images of Samael, not the Primordial Spirits of Evil)

Samael - demiurge (Copts)

Samael - lord of the lower part of the underworld and chaos (Copts)

Samael - chief archon, first son of Pestis Sophia, creator of the evil principle of the Universe (Gnosticism)

Samael - Father and leader of Demons (Demonolatry)

Samael - Guardian Angel of Rome

Samael is the negative hero of the opera “The Magic Shooter”, a demon hunter who owns the secret of creating bullets that always hit the target

Samael is the first of the seraphim in Kabbalah, and as a sign of his exclusivity he had not six but ten wings.

Lilith, Samael and Leviathan

The works presented below were originally intended for the open project of the Temple of the Rising Flame and were completed in October 2013. The project consisted of seven rituals that had to be performed in turn, for seven days in a row, at any time in the evening or night.

But since these works open the gates of the astral kingdom of Gamaliel, it is recommended to perform daily practices shortly before bedtime. They also include interactions with Lilith and Samael in dreams. Invocations are inspired by the Gnostic grimoire Liber Lilith, compiled and published by Donald Tyson, and may include fragments of primordial rituals. Each of the works contains different elements: sigils that are gateways to the energies of Lilith and Samael and the Draconian flow of Qliphot, mantras that put you into a state of trance and prepare the mind for communication with the deities, and invocations that will allow you to truly experience interaction with their energies inside yourself.

The latter work invokes the intertwined energies of the couple, Lilith and Samael, in sexual union, manifested in Jewish legends in the form of Tanin'iver, the Blind Dragon. In Qliphotic magic, Tanin'iver is identified with Leviathan, which inspired us to create the ritual of the last day. The goal of the entire project is to experience the energies of both rulers of the Qliphoth: Lilith and Samael - separately and in fusion, through certain aspects of their sexual flow. And since they are the main initiates and guides of the path of the Night Side, thanks to the invocation of their essence, the practitioner can open the gates inside his consciousness to the energies of Sitra Achra, the Other Side, and gain strong allies on the path of individual ascent.

Lilith and Samael

Lilith and Samael are the most famous personifications of the forces that control the Qliphoth. In Kabbalah, Lilith is considered the mother of demons, the queen of adultery and fornication, the ruler of harlots and the Originator of all evil. The first mentions of this mythical character appeared in ancient images and texts found in Sumer. Later, her name was associated with the Semitic word “Leila” - night. In this image, she entered Jewish legends, becoming one of the main demons of Jewish mysticism and folklore. She was the first wife of Adam, who rebelled against his power and left the Garden of Eden to then settle on the shores of the Red Sea, in the land of Zemargad. There she, having copulated with Samael/Satan, gave birth to hundreds of terrible children, demonic succubi and incubi, creatures resembling people, but at the same time winged and sensual. She taught them the arts of seduction and witchcraft, and with the sexual fluids they took from their human lovers, she gave birth to even more demonic offspring.

It was widely believed that both Lilith and her children often visited the earth at night, entering houses to strangle babies and steal sperm from men. We can trace the development of her myth in art and literature, especially in Talmudic and apocryphal sources. Mentions of her are found in Sumerian legends, Babylonian texts, Aramaic spells and Jewish sources from the 4th to the 12th centuries. In European Renaissance sculpture and woodcuts, Kabbalistic sources and literature from the 12th century to the present day.

Samael is identified with Satan or the archetypal Devil, the lord of hell, the Tempter, the Adversary and the Prince of Lies. In Jewish legends, he is the lord of evil spirits, the Accuser and Destroyer, but in Kabbalah he is the supreme ruler of Qliphot, the Kingdom of Darkness, who does not lose his power even at the lowest level of the Tree of Night, Malkuth/Lilith, in the kingdom of matter. He is also associated with the Syrian god Shemal, the shadow spirit of the earth, darkness and the physical world, for the Gnostics he is the evil Demiurge who created the earth, imprisoned souls in the prison of flesh and matter and prevented their ascent to salvation. He is considered the god of carnal desires, constantly tempting man to remain a slave to his passions and lusts. Samael is also the angel of death, killing a person with one drop of poison and collecting the souls of the dead. His name is translated as “Poison of God,” because he poisons the world with the poison of doubt and unbelief. It is also believed that he was the Serpent of the Garden of Eden, who led Man to the Fall and later seduced and impregnated Eve, thus becoming the true father of Cain, the first of the demonic line of descendants of the Devil.

In Draconian magic, Samael can be identified with Lucifer, who rules, together with Lilith, the Queen of the Night, the entire Qliphotic Tree: Samael/Lucifer does this from his Throne in Thaumiel, and Lilith, arriving at each level of the Tree and being the initiator and conductor of the path of the flame. She seduces the Initiates and leads them through the path of Qliphotic alchemy and the secrets of eroto-mysticism in order to help them release the Flame of the Serpent, the power of Kundalini - an integral part of sexuality. Just as the power of Kundalini awakens consciousness and frees it from the bonds of ignorance, so Lilith frees the soul from the illusions of the flesh and awakens spiritual desire. She and Samael/Lucifer can be compared to two snakes that express the Tantric concept of Kundalini: Ida - the lunar feminine force, and Pingala - the solar masculine stream. They rise from the sexual center at the base of the spine, ascend the spinal column and unite in ecstasy at the third eye, the center of awakening consciousness. The image of the merger and the power that embraces them is Leviathan, personifying continuity and eternal existence.

We first meet Lilith in the first Qlipha of the Tree of Night, in the dark twin of Malkuth, called the “womb of Lilith” or the “Cave of Lilith”, which is the entrance to the Sitra Achra, on the other side of the Kabbalistic Tree. In Tantrism, the equivalent of this spiritual level is the Muladhara chakra, in which the Kundalini serpent lies coiled, awaiting awakening. She then introduces us to the secrets of the astral realm, where we “die” to the physical world and are reborn to the wonders of the Night Side. Her sexual mysticism represents the thirst for the transcendent and the desire to transcend our limited nature, and the tool that can help us do this is the Rising Flame of Lucifer/Samael. It is natural for a person to produce offspring in order to achieve immortality through procreation, which replaces immortality for him, but Lilith teaches us to seek personal immortality, which can be achieved not through the reproduction of the flesh, but with the help of individual spiritual ascent, turning a biological impulse into a metaphysical desire. On the Draconian Path, she symbolizes the Draconian feminine current, complementary to the male current of Lucifer/Samael. Together they patronize the awakening and spiritual self-deification that occurs in the Draconian current of the Nightside.

Preparation for the Rituals:

Prepare your ritual space as you see fit. You can place on the altar suitable figurines, images or other sigils and glyphs representing Lilith, Samael and Leviathan/Dragon, or you can focus only on the sigils given in this text without using any other decorations - the choice is yours . For meditation, you will need printed or drawn sigils that are large enough to look at comfortably. If you choose to draw them yourself, use red, gold and black - a gold seal on a black background, a black sigil on gold, black on red or red on black - all these combinations will work well when performing rituals. You will also need at least one black and one red candle. For invocations, it is best to use red wine, but any other red liquid will work well.

You also need to have a ritual blade - a dagger, knife or sword, or even a simple razor, the result will be no worse. All sigils used in this work should be anointed and activated with your blood. If you find this practice unacceptable, perhaps this job is simply not for you. Think about this before starting a project. You can donate blood every day of the project, or only during invocations (on the second, fifth and seventh days). Choose for yourself. In the flow of Lilith and Samael, blood is the substance that opens the gates of the Night Side, and offering it is a sign of devotion. It will be enough to donate a few drops; more is unnecessary.

Another point that can be included in the work is the offer of your sexual fluids, which are an element of the path of eroto-gnosis in the flow of Lilith and Samael. Moreover, in the last ritual, Lilith and Samael are invoked as a couple in sexual intercourse, two beings fused into one. So this ritual can be performed by a practitioner either alone or with a ritual partner, with one person calling upon Lilith and the other Samael, and communion with the energies can be done through sexual intercourse. This is possible, but not necessary for the effectiveness of this particular project, so whether or not to include the bringing of sexual fluids into the work is at your discretion.

Mantra and Meditation on the Sigil of Lilith

Sit comfortably with the sigil in front of you. Place black and red candles on both sides of it. Light a strong, fragrant incense such as Dragon's Blood. Anoint the sigil with your blood and focus all your attention on it. Watch its lines fill and activate with your life substance and visualize the sigil glowing and pulsating with red light. Feel the metallic smell of blood permeating everything around, while chanting the mantra: “Lilith, Leil, Ardat-Lili, Leila” - do this in a low, whispering voice. As you repeat the words of the invocation, feel how the atmosphere in your temple thickens. Gaze at the sigil until you remember it and can easily visualize it. After all, here it is not only the gate of the Night Side, but also the force that connects you with other participants in the work. Visualize them - black shadows with dark faces, standing or sitting around you.

Then close your eyes and recall the image in your memory. Now you can either continue to chant the mantra or decide to continue practicing in silence. Focus your mind's eye on the outline of the sigil, watch it form in front of you, in a black space, glowing with a blood-red light. Then imagine how it changes, taking on other forms, unlocking the gates of your mind, opening the doors of the astral kingdom of Gamaliel and showing you various objects, images and landscapes. Let the visions flow freely, open yourself to this experience. Send a request through the sigil, asking Lilith to be with you and guide you on the path of the Night Side. When you feel it is time to end your meditation, return to your normal state of consciousness, blow out the candles and complete the work of the day.

Invocation of Lilith

Stand or sit comfortably. Place the sigil on the altar, placing two candles on either side of it, and again focus on it. While peering at the sigil, chant the mantra from yesterday: “Lilith, Leil, Ardat-Lili, Leila.” As on the previous day, imagine her alive and shining. Look at the other Initiates around you. Feel how the energy flowing from the sigil strengthens the body, vibrating and filling you with the Draconian flow of Lilith, changing your consciousness, opening your soul to the energies of the goddess. At the same time, feel how the atmosphere in the ritual space thickens. When you feel ready to perform the ritual, finish repeating the mantra and begin the invocation:

Dark Mother, coming in the night, on the wings of shadow, Ama Lilith,

Hear my call and come to me!

Cover me under the hem of your clothes from the scorching heat of the sun.

Protect me from the sultry winds of the desert.

Hide in your shadow from the light that blinds me.

Come to me from the caves of the Red Sea

And awaken the power of the Dragon in my temple of flesh.

I praise your name more than the beauty of the sunrise

And the amazing miracle of the sunset unlocking the gates of the night.

Bless me with your love and awaken the desire in my soul with your gentle touch.

I call on you, Ancient One!

I call upon you, Mother of Demons, who sits on the throne among those who rule the world.

Creator and Destroyer, whose face is light on the right and black on the left, come to me!

Enter through my right hand.

Enter through my left hand.

Lilith, Leil, Ardat-Lily, Leila-

Mother of Sin, show me your true form, tell me the truth and answer truthfully.

Grant me the knowledge and wisdom of the night.

Raise my spirit and let it enter your black kingdom on the dark side of the moon!

When you have finished saying the words of invocation, drink the sacrament from the chalice. Sit or lie down and open yourself to the energies manifesting in your ritual space and consciousness. Experience flow freely and spontaneously. Observe the temple and feel everything that manifested itself in the ritual space when Lilith passed into it through the gates of the night, or close your eyes and let her manifestation and communication with you take place in your consciousness. If you don't feel any tangible manifestation or see any specific visions, just write down any thoughts you have during or after the work and meditate on them for a while, these could be messages from the goddess. Thank her for her presence and close the ritual.

Journey in a Dream to the Kingdom of Lilith

This work must be done shortly before bedtime. Using red ink, you can mix it with blood, draw the eye of Samael/Lilith on the forehead:

Then sit comfortably and place the Lilith sigil in front of you. Light candles and incense. Imagine again how the sigil becomes the gate of Sitra Achra, the Other Side, and, peering into it, chant the invocation mantra: “Lilith, Leil, Ardat-Lili, Leila.”

Let immersion in the flow of work happen naturally, as in previous days. When you have finished meditating, go to bed and again call up in your mind the image of the sigil and vision that you just saw. Keep your attention focused on the desire to continue the dream vision. Write down your dreams when you wake up. If you wake up during the night, focus on the sigil again and try to hold onto the vision as you fall back into sleep. Don't worry if your dreams aren't work-related. Magical dreaming requires time and a lot of practice, only then the results will be proper.

Mantra and Meditation on the Sigil of Samael

Place a red and black candle on either side of the sigil. Light a strong, fragrant incense such as Dragon's Blood. Anoint the sigil with your blood and focus all your attention on it. Watch its lines fill and activate with your life substance and visualize the sigil glowing and shimmering with golden light, pulsating and flashing with red and gold lights. At the same time, chant the mantra: “Samael, Shemal, Saklas, Shavayot” - do this in a low, vibrating voice. Repeating the words of the call, feel how the atmosphere in your temple changes and thickens.

At this point, you can again either continue to chant the mantra or decide to continue to practice in silence. Focus your mind's eye on the outline of the sigil and watch it form before you, in a black space, glowing with golden light and surrounded by red flames. Then imagine how it changes, taking on other forms, unlocking the gates of your mind, opening the doors of the Night Side and showing you various objects, images and landscapes. Let the visions flow freely, open yourself to this experience. Send a request through the sigil, asking Samael to be with you and guide you in the path of the flame. When you feel it is time to end your meditation, return to your normal state of consciousness, blow out the candles and complete the work of the day.

Samael's Invocation

Using red ink mixed with blood, write on the palm of your left hand the letters that make up the name Lilith in Hebrew: לילית‏‎, and those that represent the name of Samael on the palm of your right hand: סמאל. Pour red wine into a cup and place it on the altar.

Stand or sit comfortably. Place the sigil on the altar, placing two candles on either side of it, and again focus on it. While looking at the sigil, chant the mantra from yesterday: “Samael, Shemal, Saklas, Shavayot.” As on the previous day, imagine her alive and shining. Look at the other Initiates around you. Feel how the energy flowing from the sigil strengthens the body, vibrates and fills you with the Draconian flow of Samael, changes your consciousness and opens you to the energies of the Dark God Qliphoth. You can also visualize your aura filled with red and gold flames and the same flames around you. Feel how the atmosphere in the ritual space thickens. When you feel ready to perform the ritual, finish repeating the mantra and begin the invocation:

Ancient Serpent, Samael, hear my call and come to me!

Answer my prayers and lead me to enlightenment and freedom.

Dissolve my essence in your flame.

Protect me from the howling winds of the desert.

Strike with your divine power, like thunder and lightning, my mind and soul in an unholy sacrament of pain and pleasure.

The world comes to life in your arms,

And the gates of Sitra Achra open for those who dare to go their own way!

I call to you. Ancient! I call upon you, Father of Demons, who sits on the throne among those who rule the world.

They all serve you, created by you and your essence.

Creator and Destroyer, whose face is light on the right and black on the left, come to me!

Enter through my right hand.

Enter through my left hand.

Descend into my flesh, offered to you like a temple, and manifest yourself through the altar of my immortal soul.

I call you with the power of your names:

Samael, Shemal, Saklas, Shavayot-

Father of sin, show me your true form, tell me the truth and answer truthfully.

Destroy the world and teach me creation and destruction.

Lead me through the gates of lust into your Garden of Delights!

I call upon you in the name of the Dragon, Ho Ophis Ho Archaios, Ho Drakon Ho Megas!

When you have finished saying the words of invocation, drink the sacrament from the chalice. Sit or lie down and open yourself to the energies manifesting in your ritual space and consciousness. Experience flow freely and spontaneously. Observe the temple and feel everything that manifested itself in the ritual space when the Dark God Qliphoth passed through the gates of the night, or close your eyes and let his manifestation and communication with you occur in your consciousness. If you again do not feel any tangible manifestation or experience any specific visions, simply write down all the thoughts you have during or after the work and meditate on them for a while, trying to determine whether they are personal messages from God.

Journey in a Dream to the Kingdom of Samael

This work, like last time, must be done shortly before bedtime. Using red ink, you can mix it with blood, draw the eye of Samael/Lilith on the forehead:

Then sit comfortably and place the sigil of Samael in front of you. Light candles and incense. Imagine again how the sigil becomes the gateway to the Sitra Achra, the Other Side, and feel the connection with the other participants. And, peering at it, chant the mantra of challenge: “Samael, Shemal, Saklas, Shavayot.”

Let immersion in the flow of work happen naturally, as in previous days. When you have finished meditating, go to bed and re-call in your mind the image of the sigil and vision that you just saw. Keep your attention focused on the desire to continue the dream vision. Write down your dreams when you wake up. If you wake up during the night, focus on the sigil again and try to hold onto the vision as you fall back into sleep.

Invocation of Lilith and Samael

This ritual simultaneously induces the energies of Lilith and Samael, constituting the Draconian body of the Tanin'iver or Leviathan, by combining aspects of their sexual flow. Its structure is similar to that presented in previous works, but now you should use the sigil drawn below, which represents the union of the energies of the Queen and King of Qliphoth, surrounded by the body of the Dragon. This work also includes elements of both invocations.

The beginning of the ritual is similar to those already presented above:

Write the names of Lilith and Samael on the palms of your left and right hands. Pour red wine into a cup and place it on the altar. Stand or sit comfortably. Place the sigil in front of you. Light candles and incense.

Anoint the sigil with your blood. Then, focusing on it, begin to chant the mantra: “Lilith, Samael, Leviathan.” Re-envision the sigil, shining brightly with a red-gold light, pulsating and alive. Feel your body filled with energy flowing from the sigil, vibrating and filling you with the Draconian essence. You can also visualize your aura filled with flames or taking the form of a dragon. Feel how the atmosphere in the ritual space changes and becomes denser. Once you feel that you are ready to perform the ritual, begin making invocations: first Lilith, then Samael. If you are working with a ritual partner, have one of you induce Lilith and the other induce Samael.

Having completed the invocations, as before, drink the communion from the chalice, now charged with the energies of the two Qliphotic rulers. Then sit or lie down and open yourself to the energies manifesting in your ritual space and consciousness. See and feel the energies of Lilith and Samael moving through the body and, manifesting within the personality, transforming your consciousness. Visualize yourself becoming a dragon - imagine wings growing from your back on which you can fly, crossing worlds, arms and legs transforming into the strong paws of a dragon, skin becoming covered with powerful armor of dragon scales, and your senses becoming sharper, now allowing see through the barriers and illusions of the world. Enjoy these changes, experience the flow freely and spontaneously. Observe the temple and feel all that was manifested in the ritual space when the gods passed through the gates of the night, or close your eyes and let their manifestation and communication with you take place in your consciousness. Write down all the thoughts and messages that you were able to receive during and after work, and meditate on them. Review the visions and knowledge you have gained throughout the project and meditate on past and future steps along the path. Let the final day be a time of reflection and perhaps finding new inspiration on the Path of the Dragon.

The angel Samael is one of the most controversial figures in the Abrahamic religions. On the one hand, he is Satan himself and the personification of universal evil, and on the other, he has a number of uniquely positive features, at least according to the biblical canons, without his intervention humanity would clearly not be able to reach the current level of development.

Angel Samael - the history of his name and ancient mentions

Mentions of Samael are found in all Abrahamic religions - Judaism, Islam and Christianity, and they mainly relate to Old Testament times, starting from the immediate creation of man and, especially, the expulsion of Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden. To understand the essence of this angel or demon, one should understand the meaning of the name Samael in the Hebrew language - it consists of two roots “poison” and “god”, which clearly allows one to identify in him the very poisonous serpent-tempter, thanks to whose actions humanity was expelled from heavenly tabernacles.

However, other Old Testament traditions show Samael still among the angels. So, it was Samael who held the hand Abraham, preventing him from sacrificing his son to God. In addition, he is also mentioned in the Bible as the angel of death who came for the soul Moses. In addition, in Talmud- The Jewish version of the Old Testament states that Samael was also an angel who guarded Eden. Almost every mention of Samael as an angel describes his closest proximity to God and his enormous power, and in accordance with some teachings, since he was the first among the seraphim angels, it is indicated that he had ten or twelve wings instead of six. In modern Judaism, Samael is also often referred to as the jet-black angel of death who comes for sinners with a fearsome jagged knife, while coming for the righteous Archangel Gabriel has a smooth, perfectly sharpened shiny blade

Thus, we can conclude that Satan or Samael was not the original force - and although certain aspects of his character appeared almost from the moment of the creation of the world, for a long time he was still the closest servant of God. Also, as an interesting fact, many believe that according to some ancient sources, Samael is the father of Cain, since it was in adultery with the Serpent that Eve’s fall from grace consisted in the first place. In general, the figure of this angel is extremely contradictory - it is not without reason that he is often identified with Prometheus and similar figures, which, by the way, almost always symbolized the Morning Star. And it was with the morning star that he was also identified Archangel Lucifer- another one of Samael’s names.

Demon Samael - who is he?

In the classical worldview of Christianity and Judaism, Samael, or Satan, is traditionally identified with true evil, is the complete antagonist of God and the root of all the ills of humanity, starting from the most ancient times. At the same time, interest in his image, strength and capabilities has also existed since the very beginning of time. Sorcerers, magicians, seekers of truth have always understood the importance of the image of the Serpent as a symbol of knowledge, albeit forbidden knowledge. This meaning was invested in the image of the most powerful angel in the Middle Ages, and since the end of the nineteenth century, relatively modern demonologists, mystics and esotericists prefer to generally abandon any negative interpretation of his image. According to them, such denigration of the image of Satan is only an attempt by the church to gain power over the minds and hearts of people, turning them away from science, self-searching and the desire to achieve the best in this life.

In particular, this opinion reached its greatest apogee in Satanism. Anton Sandor La'Vey. In his Church of Satan, the main value for a person is exclusively himself and everything that worries him. This does not mean that a person is obliged to do evil; moreover, most followers of such Satanism are of the opinion that treating others well is the highest aspiration of everyone at the highest level of spiritual development. However, they also deny thoughtless adherence to dogmas; according to their opinion, it is necessary to do good only when it is a sincere, one’s own inner desire, and is not determined by the pressure of the church and society due to the fact that this must be done in order to achieve any preferences in the afterlife.
In classical demonology, it was believed that Samael is the supreme ruler of Hell, responsible for any witchcraft powers and forbidden knowledge, capable of imparting incredible power in exchange for the highest value - the human soul. At the same time, it was also believed that sorcerers would not suffer the fate of ordinary sinners - if they were faithful servants of Samael in worldly life, after death they would simply have to continue their work for the hellish ruler.

Samael and Lilith - rejected by God

Samael and Lilith

Since ancient times, it is believed that the demoness Lilith, who was the first woman presented by God to Adam, after her escape from the Garden of Eden, became the wife of Samael. Due to the fact that her refusal of eternal life in Paradise was an entirely voluntary departure, and not an expulsion, as in the case of Adam and Eve, her behavior largely testified to a desire for change, a desire to independently control the course of her own life. That is why in many modern studies devoted to ancient Old Testament history, Lilith is a symbol of equality and feminism - according to some interpretations of this Old Testament story about the beginning of time, this woman opposed Adam’s attitude towards her as property and the same attitude of God towards her.

The same can be said about Samael’s departure from Paradise and his refusal to serve God. According to one of the legends about the fall, Samael was always not only the strongest among all the angels, but also the most devoted and faithful to his Lord. He wanted to help him so much that at one moment, when God was not there, he himself sat on his throne and began to engage in divine affairs, trying to become a creator in order to demonstrate his desire to help the Divine Plan. God perceived this behavior as pride and a way to take his place and drove Samael away. As a result, the fallen angel took with him everyone who shared his ideas and decided that no one else should be a slave of the Lord - this also explains his desire to “tempt” people with knowledge and various promises of wealth, power and incredible witchcraft power.

Thus, Samael is not only the patron of sorcerers, but also of everyone who despairs of finding help in their usual surroundings, people who feel on the verge of losing their lives, and simply those who seek to break all loose ends and start a completely new life with hopes exclusively for yourself.

Samael's Challenge

It should be noted that some magicians believe that the image of the devil or Satan consists of several “faces” and character traits at the same time. Thus, villains, sorcerers and sinners are patronized by Satan, Lucifer personifies all the good that this fallen angel brought into the world, and Samael is primarily the angel of death and, as a consequence, final justice - which is why this hypostasis is considered the most powerful and comprehensive. And that is why in summoning rituals the name of Samael is found much less often than Lucifer or Satan - such powerful entities cannot be summoned for entertainment or to resolve any small issues.

We must also remember that, unlike devils and small demons, the lords of hell, and, even more so, Samael himself cannot be forced to do something, much less subordinate to his will - their power is much greater than that of any person. Therefore, you should not only be careful, but also respectful towards these entities, no matter how evil they may be.

To summon Samael, it will be necessary to undergo lengthy preparation. The summoning ritual is seriously different from concluding a pact with the devil and is used primarily to establish justice, and not to achieve anything at any cost. And this means that with such a call to the Lord of Hell, you will not give him your soul, but will only call on him to fulfill his true duty - to bring justice, which he will definitely be happy about, since the good beginning in him has not disappeared. For the ritual, you must have five black wax candles that have not been consecrated in the church, a vessel that has not previously been used for household purposes, wine, as well as a new knife and a sheet of paper.

The ritual is carried out at midnight, exclusively in a ventilated room without strangers. First you need to draw an inverted pentagram on the floor, surrounding it with lit candles, and sit in its center. After this, you should use a knife to make a light cut on your left hand - you can even cut a finger to get a few drops of blood, which are used to draw the seal of Samael on a piece of paper. This piece of paper should be placed next to you, and while drawing you should say the following words:

Ave Samael, Princeps Tenebrarum!
Es Diabolus Magnus senior dei lucis,

After reading these words, you should pour wine into the cup, carefully look inside the liquid, and then say your request to the angel of death. The wine should be drunk in one gulp, and you will need to sit inside the outlined pentagram until dawn. As soon as you drink the wine, you will definitely see, feel or hear a sign that your conversion has been accepted. This could be a sharp gust of wind, the howling of several dogs, the cawing of crows, or any other sign, unless, of course, Samael honors you with his personal presence. If there is no sign, you must repeat the above litany.

In general, the figure of Samael is one of the most controversial in classical demonology, and although she was almost always associated with Satan, many people put a completely different meaning into the ancient, Old Testament name of the ruler of hell.

II. Broken Star
In this part of the Ritual, compliance with magical correspondences is very important. The Sumerian torn Star GANZIR consists of 13 elements that correspond to the Thirteen Names (better said, forms of manifestation) of Samael. When pronouncing each of the Names, the corresponding Sign is drawn in blood using an iron tool, and the material is positioned so that the first Sign is written in the west, and the last in the east, in strict accordance with
Nunc et aeterno ut tremant terra et coelum a verbis dictis. Nunc voco Tredecim Nomina Samael.
Translation: Now and forever, may the earth and heaven tremble from the words spoken. Here I pronounce the Thirteen Names of Samael.
(1) Iblis Ignitus;
(2) Dispater;
(3) Homicida Chaskiah, Abachasek;
(4) Samech, qui es Serpens Antiquus, Serpens Sempiternus, Coecus Serpens Tanin Aver;
(5) Orcus Oculifer;
(6) Malchira Moveth;
(7) Gelal Shugaru;
(8) Kingu, Charon, Abakain;
(9) Ashur, Chaskiel, Armilus;
(10) Balaam vel Baal shel Am;
(11) Ferreus Draco, Draco Marinus;
(12) Leviathan Regenitus, Princeps Lethae;
(13) Erebus Sheol Abashedim.
Note: The following text is read 5 times, in directions starting from the West, counterclockwise to the North, and last time in the center:
Per vim, quae est in sanguine nostro ad hanc invocamus,
Per sangrem Adam Belial et Adam Nahemoth,
Tredecim Nomina et Stella Fracta,
Quae est Sol Ater, Sol Mortuorum,
Ut fiant Scuto Inferni, Scuto Chaosis,
Et armo contra deum septem inimicosque, eorumque servi.
O, Samael, velle Lilith, Pater Ater,
Filii Vostri oramus et gratiamus Vos nunc.
Fiat sic! Fiat sic! Fiat sic! Fiat sic! Fiat sic!
Ya Samael, Chaskiah, Chaskiel, Sataniah, Satanael,

Translation: By the power that is contained in our blood, to which we call,
Through the blood of Adam Belial (Hebrew: "Lawless Adam")
and Adam Nahemoth (Hebrew: “Unclean Adam”),
Thirteen Names and the Broken Star,
Which is the Dark Sun, the Sun of the Dead,
May they be for us the Shield of Hell, the Shield of Chaos,
Defense/weaponry against God, the seven enemies and their minions.
O Samael, desire of Lilith, Dark Father,
Your children pray and thank you.

Demon Samael: Third Demiurge

The article is, in many ways, the most difficult of the entire series. new Lemegeton. On the one hand, there is access to information, it is given, on the other hand, I was never given permission to use all the information about this infernal. 🙂

Samael, as a person, is one of the most closed and inaccessible demons of all Lemegeton A. Both for calling and work, and generally for an audience. At the same time, it is, paradoxically, the most popular. Perhaps this is due to the fact that the name Samael found in many sections of all monotheistic religions, and is very often confused with Azrael and a bunch of other characters who were mixed in one bottle and shook this bottle for a couple of thousand years.

According to various religious treatises and books such as Talmud, Bible, various aprocrypha, Book of Enoch and legends, the vinaigrette there is very toxic - Samael his name is also Yahweh(one of his names), and chapter Lower Worlds, and chapter Necroworld, And archangel that's the name and Angel of Death... In the same place: he is both the father of Cain, and one of names of Satan, and a serpent, again a serpent, only different, and the Lord of Chaos, aka the Guardian Angel of Rome, aka seraphim, demiurge and generally a plug in every ass. He's such a multi-station operator, he managed to do it everywhere.

The reason for this spread is simple. Self name Samael(or Samail), is not a name, it is a kind of name of a position or, better said, a position in which many people can be held at many times. Translated from Hebrew, this name means “poison of God,” but if we focus on Aramaic, we have rather an ironic play on words and a more accurate meaning—“sore spot,” “sore spot.” The word Ael or El means “lord”, one who commands something, and this is the correct polite address to a demon (“Ael Marrab, would you like to swell with us?...”). Therefore, Sama-Aels in the Upper Worlds were almost jokingly and ironically called everyone who occupied all sorts of inconvenient, unpleasant, difficult positions, did dirty work and often conflicted with Yahweh or archangels. "Mr. Pain-in-the-Ass", "Mr. Inconvenient-Question", "Mr. Sore Corn". All in all, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named in the ancient Aramaic manner and with a dose of sarcasm.

What is your name? Samael the demon it’s hard to say, he never posted his real names, surnames and titles anywhere. All that is known is his origin, the name of his father, and the fact that in calls to initiates he reluctantly responds to the name Aryeman, or Argeman. And yes, this may be connected with that same Persian Ahriman, whom we know well for his bloodthirstiness and difficulty of summoning (Lord of the Unsteady Mist can only be summoned for a sacrifice of human eyes, hearts and blood).

How did this happen?

When was it created Yggdrasil tree, when it was still being built, it had quite a few managers. It is very large and each type of world needed its own foreman and architect, one who would come up with and implement the very principle of operation of this Tree and its parts. The tree was divided into 4 parts: Upper worlds, Middle worlds, Nether Worlds and Elemental Worlds, a total of 16 types of worlds per YGGDRASIL. And each world had its own demiurge, globally there were three of them.

Yggdrasil Tree by @lana_briar

The upper worlds were built by an “appointee” Yahweh Enkitakht and his team. This was a relatively young god, appointed by the council of the High Ones and Ma personally to steer the process in Upper worlds. Two things distinguished him: a very peculiar character with hints of megalomania, and the fact that, unlike other demiurges, he is not an anthropomorphic creature, rather he is closer to snakes. Do you feel like reptilians smelled it, right?... Tales of reptilians and the benefits of tin foil hats would be very funny if it weren’t for this little fact about the origin of the “main god” and the owner HE. It’s just that, having passed through brains sick with schizophrenia, heaps of delirium about aliens have already grown on this simple and understandable fact, Nibiru and other mind reading. It is generally typical for schizophrenics to take real facts and logically weave them into delusional stories, deducing conspiracy theories and so on. The initial fact is true, then nonsense continues to grow.

Middle worlds undertook to build graha Baal, also with his team, and widely launched into them residents of very different races and species. Of all the demiurges, he is perhaps the most pleasant and adequate.

But a trio of demons began to build the lower worlds: Samael, Beleth and Belial. And all this happened under energy “investments” Asmodea. Kings Belial and Beleth, being engineers and architects, invented and built all the "roots Yggdrasil“, they came up with the very system of life there. Asmodeus invested energy in construction, but Samael acted as a kind of foreman and manager. He was young, full of strength, and the only surviving son of the last demon ruler, if we talk about their race and life before Yggdrasil. He also became the ruler of the lower worlds. This work was and is extremely hard, dirty and unpleasant, but so far from the whole trinity of demiurges Samael more than anyone else, he maintains the order and cleanliness of his sandbox.

But what about Samael-Aryeman himself? This personality is extremely secretive, tough and not to say pleasant, although he always religiously observed the concept of honor and dignity. He suffered a lot of hardships and wandering around various worlds, being the son of a king in exile and the uncrowned head of a people scattered throughout the Universe. Personally, a good comparison comes to mind with Tolkien's Dwarf King Thorin, who wandered around the world and worked as a blacksmith because he could not gather “his own” and prove his right to the throne. Samael I found myself in a similar situation: demons, as a species, were actively exterminated for a long time, so pieces of this people lived anywhere, without a single habitat, ruler and all other attributes of a single people. Samael, for the first time in many thousands of years, gathered everyone together and founded a house for everyone. And also marked the beginning of a whole huge dynasty and the continuation of the royal family: Samael and Lilith have as many as 13 natural children and two adopted ones. And almost everyone from this large family is known to people in some pantheon, like the same Ishtar, who is also the king's daughter Samael. The grandchildren of Samael are very densely included in Lemegeton and history King Solomon.

Samael looks like a man about 50 years old, tall and stately, with an aquiline nose and a heavy gaze. He has dark brown hair, shaved temples and the back of his head, and piercing blue, icy eyes. He is charismatic, but this charisma is rather cold and heavy, which is how we are attracted to charming villains in movies, who look interesting against the backdrop of cardboard good-natured people “in white.” And no, the king is not prone to cruelty, any kind of perversion or sadism. I would say that he is a tired misanthrope and a business sausage who knows the value of his time and himself. Therefore, he simply does not consider it necessary to respond to those who are indifferent to him, even out of politeness.

He doesn’t often spoil any events with his presence, and there’s no talk of calling him to people at all. Due to his character traits, this infernal often does not come and respond even to his subjects in his world, let alone people. He feels disgusting contempt for people and even their prototypes, which is why there have been almost no cases of successful calling in history. So his sigil is practically the only one that did not work even in the time of Solomon. His actual coat of arms and sigil depict a solar eclipse and rays of light behind it, vaguely resembling a human eye.

Is it possible to work with Samael? Probably not. He always listens to what is sent to him, reads letters and appeals, but responds extremely rarely. His areas of work include politics, including social policy, architecture, and, oddly enough, agriculture. He understands very well how and what grows, how the landscape is developed, how a place and terrain can be brought to an ideal energy and elemental balance.

Officially (in the sense of de jure), his call is made on a crimson tablecloth, with burgundy candles, cinnamon and fir oil, and with an offering of human blood in some small volume. For example, a glass. Alternatively, a human heart. It doesn’t have to be your blood and your organs, but where to get it all - think for yourself. Such a strange wishlist (compared to others who wish for tea and chamomile) does not come from great bloodthirstiness, but only from the desire to protect oneself from a crowd of obsessive fools. The point is that if you bothered to get all this and make a call, then you really have a need for this call, and you weren’t just passing by.
